| I hear that Donna and Mitch Baker are both out at Clear Channel in Omaha. Of course, they both moved there from Springfield a few years ago. Don''t know much else except they were "escorted out" according to sources. Donna was the Cluster Manager and Mitch was Op Mgr.

I hope they land on their feet somewhere. No matter what you feel about them it's never easy to lose a gig.

I'll second that. I met Mitch last year and have always been a fan of his work at KGBX.

| I am sure they will end up with a fine job somewhere. I never met Mitch but did meet Donna on several occasions and have nothing but the highest regard for her. She is a very talented person indeed. In checking the Omaha Arbitron, I see that the top three stations in Omaha are all Clear Channel and together they have a 23.8 share with just those 3...they have several lesser rated stations also. and that's real good. Omaha is about 4 times bigger than Springfield, so that's VERY good. Surely their leaving had nothing to do with ratings...must have been a sales problem of some sort. Anyway...Good Luck to them!

| I agree that Mitch and Donna Baker are both pro's in programming and sales/management respectively but what a strange situation for a husband/wife team to run a corporate cluster. It happened all the time in the days before deregulation and corporate ownership expansion (mom & pop operations) but in today's corporate climate it seems strange to me. I always thought Springfield was unique when Mitch/Donna, Roger/Katie and Ken/Jane were all husbamd/wife teams in town. I'm sure Mitch and Donna will land on thier feet but iy may be at seperate companies.
