| I thought of a couple of others...Daddy Was An Old Time Preacher Man by Porter Wagoner and another father/son type song that I had been talking to my grandson about a few months back and getting on his nerves when I would try to sang some of it to him. Anyway, him and I were making a trip to Springfield and scanning across the dial landed on Bass Country just in time to hear it. It almost made me cry...Conway Twitty, That's My Job. And, that reminds me of when my son was about 10 or 12. I was working at country station KFKF, the kid did not like country music but he did like Conway. Then one day he saw him on TV (wearing an orange jump suit) he was shcocked..."That's Conway Twitty?" he exclaimed. He never liked ole Conway as much after that. | I did forget a couple of good ones about dear ole dad...Daddy's Come Arounf by Paul Overstreet and perhaps the best fathers day type tune, A Love Without End by George Strait.

| Although it's depressing, can't leave out Mike + The Mechanics - The Living Years. Totally father/son song. Same goes for Harry Chapin - Cats In The Cradle.

| Old news now, but "Leader Of The Band" by Dan Fogleberg is a great Father's Day song.
