Bass Country has some great billboards up across the Springfield area.  They appear to be the only radio billboards up for this ratings period.

I don't know whose the brains behind the campaign, but it's effective!

I'm glad you like them, MJ.  I'm proud to say, though I didn't do it alone by a long shot, I had a big part in those billboards.  Good to see you back!  Call me sometime.

Charlie.

I saw the one on Battlefield at National this week. The Johnny Cash one. Very good.

Of course, there used to be more billboards in the Springfield area for radio, but that was back when Buena Vista signs would trade with everybody for spots for Exotic Animal Paradise.

Pat Jones was a smart marketer, and understand the synergies between his attraction, his billboard company, and local radio.

Could someone take their digital camera and snap a few shots to share?

Thanks!

I haven't been to Springfield to take any pictures.  A couple I have seen include:

"Feelin Haggard?"

"Need Cash?"

Both done on a darker background with pix of the two legends.

Back in the 70s, 80s,90s we (KTTS)  would run 16 billboards every Spring and Fall in Springfield and no, they were not trade.  My all time favorite was when we had a promotion..."We lost our S" ...the boards had KTT...then where the S should have been a drawing of a sign man on a latter looking down like he lost it.  We had a contest on the air to help find our S... even had the station jingles re done singing... "KTT...ummm"
