Okay, why not...my list of all american music.   These are actually too numerous to mention, but here are a few of my favorites.   It was great when KTTS played The National Anthem ...I think it should still get spins on the air along with  The Stars and Stripes Forever and of course Kate Smith with God Bless America or the Ray Charles version of God Bless America.   My personal favorite is Eddie Rabbitt's American Boy.  Then there is American Girl by Trisha Yearwood...another American Girl by Tom Petty.  America by Waylon, In America by Charlie Daniels, American Tune by Paul Simon, Simon and Garfunkle's In Search of America, Americana by Moe Bandy, The Oak Ridge Boys American Family and American Made.   Lee Greewood-God Bless the USA, Living in the USA by The Steve Miller Band,  James Brown-Living in America,  Elvis-The American Triology, R.O.C.K. in the USA by John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen-Born in the USA,  Neil Diamond's Coming to America, and even Arlo Guthrie's City of New Orleans (Goodmorning America how are you) and his daddy's This Land is Your Land ...or is that Pete Seger's.   And Ladies and Gentlemen, the beat goes on,  there are many many more but those are my top of mind great songs about this great country.   Hope you had a Happy Holiday.

KTXR plays the National Anthem every morning at 4:55am, spun by Curt Merz.:D I'm sure KFLW in Saint Robert still plays all patriotic during the morning hours of 6 to 10 on July 4th.

Johnny Cash's "Ragged Ol Flag" is a good one

Beach Boys "Fourth of July"

Paul McCartney's "Freedom"

Chuck Berry "Back in the U.S.A"

KT plays the National Anthem everyday at noon, right before the news at the top of the hour.

Just thought I'd throw that in there.  A couple weeks later.

Hey, better late than never, eh?  Um, notsomuch.

KT started playing the National Anthem back when some of our marines were captured...forgot when 70' or 80's and intended to stop when they were released but it went over so well we kept it going.  Then along came Journal and their first program "guru" who stopped playing it for a short time. I understand the listeners raised so much fuss about it, they put it back on... like they did "Cracker Barrel" and several other well established programs... and again the listeners raised hell and they saw the error of his ways (the PD guy).
