Tony gets a new nickname ...
I suppose it started with a certain local radio personality decided to start calling me "Tony No Facts." Then, at least at one point, he changed to "Tony No Popsicles." Now a Missouri blogger has come up with his own nickname for me: "Baghdad Tony". I'm not sure exactly what he's supposed to mean by that, but he uses the nickname in criticizing columnist Brian Lewis, who happens to share my opinion that the level of anonymous posting going on in the Internet can have some negative consequences.
The blogger at Missouri Political News Service says it's a "monumental leap" to compare the actions of Whole Foods CEO John Mackey to those who anonymously run political blogs. Who is he kidding? Mackey anonymously blogged about his products to prop them up and increase the value of his company. SOME Missouri political bloggers happen to be paid political consultants or employees of political organizations who prop up their candidates or causes through anonymous blogging. Monumental leap? Hell, it's a slam dunk.
But back to my nicknames. I have a suggestion for the radio dude who keeps giving me new nicknames. How about "radio content provider". One more note: A certain local sheriff who didn't like a column or two I wrote about him has dubbed me "skillet ass." I sort of like that one. Weigh in on your favorite Tony nickname below. Keep it clean.

These little editorials have made me quite paranoid. I'm not trying to horn it on their business. I just comment on the news in the area and blow off steam about what is wrong with the radio industry.
However, it just occurred to me that those guys are now publishing the photos of LTTE writers. THAT IS REALLY DANGEROUS! Not only do psychos have the writer’s name, but they have their photo. What’s next guys? Will you print their phone number? When I wrote LTTE’s I got threatening phone calls from people who found my name in the phone book. Why not save them the time and print the phone number under the letter? Then, print the LTTE writer’s licence plate number. That way they can chase the person down James River Freeway. The reason I started my blog was so I could say what I want to. That is also why I don't allow comments that contradict my opinion. People need to get over that. With me it is more a hobby than a journalistic endeavour.
DB, I put something on my blog you might want to see. Check this out.

I've seen you allow comments that disagree with you as long as they're done in a respectful manner.
