I have just noticed they no longer call it" Hammons Life Line" Just St Johns.
I think he should at least get the respect of his name being on it since he started it. Now Plaster on the other hand. I would love to go back to Briggs Stadium.
How long will we have Hammon's.? give him some respect we WILL notice when he is gone. One only has to look North to Kauffman. When he died The Royals died also. And Kansas City has nor recovered either. We would not have Baseball in Springfield. But all those cheap car lots and rotting buildings would still be there.

No, he only funded the first chopper. But that is a lot. That saved hundreds of lifes over the region.
Hammons also was instrumented in helping to fund in the late 70's the start up of Channel 21, now Ozarks Public Television.

| Is Popsicle Boy still claiming that devil worshipers are living under the Square? That was his big revelation in the Community Free Press last week. He has it in for the downtown area for some reason.

In his zeal to attack the city of Springfield, the Canadian
hitched his wagon and microphone to the wrong star.
If you follow the story as reported on KSPR, Ms. Spence's so called business partner in KC has said it's a simple business decision not to persue the acquisition of the land next to the expo center, and that he "heard rumors" that Hammons had the deal locked up. He also told KSPR that those rumors did NOT come from city of Springfield officials, as the Canada goose has suggested. Mr. Full of Himself also told his audience today that the KC business man wasn't able to make it to council meeting last night (to prove Spence's allegations) because it was "his wifes 40th birthday, and he had to choose between staying married or go to the Springfield city council meeting".
Did Spence tell him that, or did he make a call to KC? You decide. Why would the man travel from KC to SGF to tell council what they already knew, that he wasn't interested in the deal anymore. Spence couldn't come up with any names or proof of any kind to verify her claims made last night and on KSGF today, but even that wasn't enough to give VD pause before he went on the air with all kinds of BS defending her. Further proof that this fool is not the journalist he claims to be.
Spence has been blowing Arbor smoke up everyone's ass for several years now. VD accepted it all, and led his red wearin' sheep to City Hall where hopefully at least some of them could see that they were being lied to by the folks that brought them.

| Re: Sarah Overstreet's story on the city council meeting Monday, and the "listeners to the VD morning program" who "came to show support for developer Becky Spence.." In my opinion, she soft pedaled the fact that those who were there in support of Spence, (and VD) were in fact there based on lies that were told to them by VD. Granted, they were the same lies passed to him by Spence, but he did not check out that information before going on the air with what turned out to be a load of crap. As far as I know, VD has yet to come clean to his audience about that. A cryptic "I've learned the hard way the last 2 days to trust no one" is about as far as he has taken it. At the least he owes an apology to his listeners, he also owes one to the city for fanning the flames with lies. Come clean VD, you're not the first person Spence has lied to.

Kathee had some intresting comments. I wonder if she edited her entire comments accidently or on purpose. I wonder what she wrote orginally.
I always enjoy Sara Overstreet's writing but was disappointed when during my days as The Professor on KKLH around the year 2000, during and extended streak of global warming and temps above 100 for several days in a row, she had a column about keeping cool by putting ice in her underwear. I called her to inquire about that and wanted to talk about that method of beating the heat on my afternoon show, but she never returned my phone calls.

| DVJ should be happy with all the newspaper coverage he has recieved in the last couple of days. All of it, I think, was negative toward him...but at least he got his name mentioned by 2 or 3 writers. Looks like the gal who was part of the bidders on the proposed building on St Louis St was just full of bad information according to her partners on the project.

Yeah, and go around the city-county government complex and talk to people and he's called a "joke." I don't buy the accountability of government claim any more. He just goes off half-cocked on issues.
Those same people you talk to are people that also see no difference between Vince and KTTS. The KTTS people give the news throughout the day on KSGF and therefore are part of Vince's conspiracy against government.
KTTS built a strong reputation on its news now to be dragged down by a some Canadian bacon.
Rex and Journal don't want to accept that but it's true. It's obvious they don't care!

| Absolutely right Morris. Guilt by association is a reality. If some joker is spreading half truths at best his very presense on that station will rub off negatively on the whole operation. When Journal first took over KT, I would get complaints all over the place about "those new guys are ruining your station". I would respond, "it's their money, I suppose they can do what they please". One of the biggest complaints was that the news on the hour was not ON THE HOUR. I mean, exactly on time...not a couple minutes early or late, but ON TIME! That reflected as well on the news operation...if they can't get it on the air on time...how accurate is the news itself? Everything a station does reflects on the total station. To really be a winner, you don't want to make a single mistake, ever.

That is a good term, "Guilt by Assocaition." I feel sorry for Louzader and Team as the news organization gets associated with the Canadian Bacon.
I don't think Rex fully understands what's being said about this immigrant Porker and the how he is associated with the news organization.
There are ways to hold government accountable, but when you listen to right-wing government conspiracy theorists who are delusional you piss a lot of people off. That's what Canadian Bacon is doing.

I've learned not to be too surprised at what the guy says these days, but today was over the top even for the Canada Goose. Talking about all the bad people who are trying to get him fired, he actually said "My wife is dying!" And "If I lose this job, she will be dead!"
Oh My God.... what is this loon (another northern bird) doing? I've heard of jocks and PD's going to great lengths to keep their jobs, but this? Un-friggin' real.
