I had never heard him on the air, so I went to the KSGF web site last night and listened to some of his podcasts.
His take on St. Patricks Day sounded ill prepared and sloppy.
I then listened to a free for all that had some of his fans and distractors on it talking about the meeting that started this board. Frankly it was really pretty good -- although I walked away thinking that he was the aggorant person that most people on this board say he is -- it is better than....
Announcer:Hi you are on the air -- -
Caller: Ramble - Ramble Ramble
Announcer; Thanks for calling...next line...Hi you are on the air.
I then heard his take on Barry Hinson and thought -- if he took this approach, he could do very well in SPringfied -- he was tought provoking -- nice but challenging to his callers -- and asking good questions.
It will be interesting to see what happens after the fall out.
David, if you are reading this -- I have no axe to grind with you - but allow me to offer one piece of advice -- if you are going to talk ratings -- talk about them when they are good and bad.

The dude IS entitled to his opinion. I don't care how far to the right he gets, he doesn't sway me. If people want to listen to that crap....great. My issue is this:
You don't go bashing people and calling them criminals. You don't go attacking John Q Hammons like he is a piece of shit. If you disagree with someone, say you disagree and for what reasons.
This guy wears the Journal banner every place he goes. He represents not just himself, but Don Louzader, Nancy Simpson, Jason Rima, Bill Cantrell and all the others inside that building on West Grand. When he trashes an important person in the Hispanic community by calling them a criminal then he puts the reputation of KTTS and the other Journal stations on the line in the community.
This guy isn't from around here and he will be using the same techniques in his next job. The names will just be different.
As I keep saying, there is not a single person on west Grand (or in Milwaukee) with the nads to fire him. They are probably relishing in the attention brought to him while not understanding what he is doing to the ENTIRE OPERATION.

I understand the fierce pride and pain that comes from watching something you love and helped build turn to bleep. But big picture this, a month ago I didnt know who Vince David Shattenkirk Jerico was and only tuned in so I could post my half baked junk on these boards with some degree of intelligence. I didnt know all the backstory, And you know, I bet most people in Springfield didnt either until the News Leader article. Clowns like this come and go. Granted, you would expect this kind of stuff from some bottom feeder desperate for attention not the mighty KTTS. But, Dave Richman isnt doing the morning show anymore, VDJ is. The AM 1260 of Barefoot Bob and Bob Rose is a memory, the national shows ( from what I have heard) are in the same mold. Its like all the mean spirited frustrated Free Will Baptist Sunday school teachers in my Salina, Kansas youth have grown up to become talk show hosts ( I'm joking around )

You are right, there is pain and frustration. It also bothers me a Canadian can roll in into town, unknowing of how it was built, and trash those who have contributed far more than just asshole opinions to make it a better place to live.
That not only includes him, management, and ownership. It may be o-k to trash politicians, but when you strike out at the core of the community, that is plain wrong.

I've asked Jericho several times to sit down for an interview for the Life of Jason blog just like the Mayor and several members of city council have done. So far, he doesn't even have the courtesy to return my e-mails.
He lies on the air about my blog, my views and what happened at the immigration debate and he's afraid to even talk to me man to man. This morning he gets on the air and says about how he would want the audio from the debate on ksgf.com so it could drive up hits to help advertisers.
So, I offered on my blog this morning that Vince could post that audio on his site if he would face me man to man and do an interview for lifeofjason.com. Since it would help his sales team and drive up revenue for KSGF there's no financial reason for him not to do it.

I don't listen to him. I get e-mails now and then from people who do and tell me when he's on lying about me again. The times I've listened I've heard nothing about what you're doing although apparently he's claiming calls are running something like 20 to 1 about how great he is.
Are you going to do anything more substantial than just the blog like protests?
