Jason,
I'm not entirely certain where this will lead. I'm just one person and while I want to draw attention to the issues with Jericho and KSGF I don't want to be consumed with them either.
I've been studying the efforts of a blogger in the San Francisco area, known by the pseudonym of 'Spocko', who lead a successful campaign against the very, very, far-right radio host Melanie Morgan. I should note that Jericho is junior league in comparison to Morgan, but then again this is where I live so I have a NIMBY mentality.
I've been looking through his [Spocko's] blog archives and a few things are obvious: he's devoted a large amount of time to the project, he took the time to listen to and record Morgan's broadcasts, he's far better than I at critical thinking, and much more articulate.

I just don't really see the point of trying to get the guy fired. Hold him accountable for what he says or point out hypocrisy in his on-air statements and his actions off the air but making him lose him job? I'm just not in favor of that.

Jason,
There's a broad array of stakeholders related to this controversy. Jericho, his supporters, his detractors, the station, owners of the station, members of the community, and so on. The most important thing is that by bringing this into the broader discussion, the community can express whether they think Jericho's actions meet the standards of the community. Then the ball will be in his court and he will ultimately determine his own fate.
I'm somewhat surprised by your own reactions. I have a generally favorable impression of your willingness to take notice of the unproductive rhetoric coming from your side of the political aisle and to speak up against it. But now your own reputation is being publicly smeared and your reactions seem more restrained than I would have imagined most people's to be.

If I deplore the tactics of lying about your opponent and smearing them while running and hiding from accountability...which are the very tactics being used against me...then what would it accomplish to join in with what they're doing?

| You're right on that and it's good to know that you won't lower your ethical standards. Hopefully by shining the light on Jericho and his minions through various means the situation will resolve itself so that Jericho will know that he's accountable in one way or another.

| To answer DB's question the blog is at ksgf.com. I didnt see any Barry Hinson stuff, but I browsed quickly may have missed it. Then got distracted by Laura Ingrahams site and well nevermind uh mm well.. DB off Jericho topic, Coach Hinson got 9 years, in coach years that is a lifetime. If the Bears bring in Spoonhour's kid that would be genius, long before Jackie, Melody or coach Burnett it was Charlie Spoonhour's town. If they hire generic stereotype coach then he had better win and cure a disease or two. Is it me or does Springfield not feel like a college town anymore ? I know we are not say Athens GA, but no big local music scene, no college radio with kid DJ's playing "alternative" music. No crazy sports spirit at least not in a loong while. No 100 Zeens at the local bookstore, Or I am just spending too much time in the Z+++++s dishroom ( so much for the new years resolution) and missing it. Sorry I strayed so much off the main topic...

Sitting around lunch the other day with people who know/have worked with this morning show host have the same conclusion as I do. He is a walking "time bomb."
I guess it's pretty common knowledge among radio people in town about the fits/tantrums this dude throws within the halls of West Grand. I personally like the stories about the his tantrums when Chris Cannon would come out and say this guy had just smelled up the bathroom.
Maybe he will get honorary papers from St. John's Behavioral Health or Burrell Mental Health.
If not, sit back and wait for him to "Go Postal." Didn't he attend a recent event with a trench coat and hat? (there's a clue).
