| Slow going on the board lately so I will throw out a topic and hope to get people talking again topic. Which is the best country station in the area right now?Personally, I like 107.7 the Lake because they play a much bigger variety of classic country. The Wolf is good, our best Hot country station because to me KTTS is more classic than Bass. I like Bass's sense of humor and style but lets be honest I would call it more of a diet hot country station than true classic country. Now I don't listen to ALOT of country radio but is the Dixie Chicks still on the banned list ? Will they ever be off the banned list I wonder...

| Country stations are missing out if they don't play the Chicks. Long Live the Chicks.

One thing I really like about Bass Country...that's their Billboards. Very classy and they tell a good story. I have always liked Billboards for Radio, because there's only 2 ways to reach a person in a car...Radio or Billboards. Much of radio listening is done in the automobile. Aside from a few boards now for KTXR, I think Bass the the only station with the "smarts" enough to advertise. You would think that people who believe enough in advertising to sell it everyday would also believe in it enough to do a little on their own...How do you spell hyprocrites?

I can't get Bass Country real well in our area -- but I have to go with KTTS. For the most part they have pros on the area -- great promotions, good news coverage and is better produced than in the past....I think they miss Roger Todd in the afternoon -- but in general they have a good sound and provide service to their community.

I have to second 107.7 The Lake. That's where I turn when I want some classic country. To keep you happy, they play enough 60s and early 70s, and sometimes 50s. The rest of their library is rounded out with late 70s and 80s hits, plus a few from the early 90s. I've noticed they have cut down on the local clutter. i.e. ballgames, tradio, and all-day auctions.
The Bass billboards are awesome! KTTS' news coverage is unbeatable. Glad to hear Mike Morgan again.
I really enjoyed The Wolf when I worked there. High energy, fast-paced, smokin' hot Country with CHR delivery that was all about the music. Jay Shannon did afternoons, CJ Michaels programmed and that station sounded good.
Outside of town 92.5 The Grove in Mountain Grove sounds good. They spin mostly new Country, with a few classics here and there.

Jamie,
What do you think of things at the Wolf now that Adam is programming/holding down the afternoon slot? Good? Bad? Sounds the same?
