C'mon give us more of these great stories, like the time you was going to get a new board in the FM studio but everyone protested so you kept the old one kind of stuff. Or good this one time, at a road show a women wanted so and so to sign her bosoms. I am just playing around with you guys I hope you know. The best thing about the original KTTS was how many people they gave a chance to who probably would've gotten thier big break otherwise. I can remember when nobody would hire a broadcasting school student or someone from a small hometown station and definatly remember how mocked us AM 1060 volunteers were by the "real" stations. Even though my tryout was a complete bomb they gave me a chance, and that failure made my future success in Burlington possible. Cheers !!!

Hoopman...your bringing back memories.  How about the time I parked my news car five blocks away from the Hitchin Post only to be paged a short time later that some drunk leaving the bar had plowed into my car?  XGM rules were no drinking and no station vehicles in a bar parking lot.  I was following the rules.  Should have left the overhead flashing lights on so the drunk would have avoided it.

Remember when Dave Baldwin wrecked the Trailduster 1 block from the Ranch..He reached for his tape recorder and totalled it!  Curt never figured out how you could wreck a vehicle a block from the station.  We were at a Ranchhand Basketball game in Gainsville and I backed into this dudes car while we were "fueling up" at the local liquor store.  Luckilly he was drunk and didn't seem to care, but we had Rod Kittleman with us and the guy thought he was so cute he'd just forget the whole thing if we left Rod as trade!  True story!!

Better save some of those "naughty" stories for the reunion!   Never knew so much happened behind my back. ;)

Some of my favorites were when Office Mike had just been replaced by Chuck Jones and the Go Patrol and Chuck was involved in a wreck while in the process of doing a traffic report.  Then when the teamsters dumped trash at the station when they got mad at Morris for his report on violence during the Associated Wholesale Grocers strike and how Morris used to burn the KWTO news department by staging a bogus news report over the two-way radio and then the fake news would  appear on the air on 560.  The bogus report never was on the air at KTTS but simply closed circuit over the 2-way but KWTO monitored the KTTS news frequency for breaking news and would air stories that sounded like live on air reports but never made it out of the cue speakers at the radio ranch.
