Word in the industrial circles at NAB is that any market that doesn't have a 30% ROI is being dumped by Clear Channel.  Wish any of my stations had anything near that return.  How long before Springfield is clear of Clear?

Side Note:

Metropolitan Radio sold its two big Florida stations Monday.

With as long as the conglomos (with Clear Channel leading the way) pushed and pushed for increased ROI, am I the only one that reads that statement as an admission of failure?

Saw this coming in the late eighties, when accountants began investing in broadcasting.  This business has always been a great place to make a decent to excellent income, but never to get rich fast, nor to turn an investment into a fortune overnight.
