Changes At GoodRadio
GoodRadio CEO Dean Goodman tells Radio Ink that he is detaching from the station group he and financial backers American Securities Capital Partners assembled during Clear Channel's massive station divestiture, but says he's hanging on to twenty-two stations that he owns in Iowa in Missouri.
"I am flipping out of the Clear Channel portion of the company, but everything is amicable, and we're all happy," he says, adding that he will stay on as a consultant to American Securities.
Meanwhile, rumors swirl that Connoisseur Media CEO Jeff Warshaw is being brought in to run the group. While he stops short of confirming talk that he's the group's new CEO, Warshaw tells Radio Ink that he is involved. "I will be working with [American Securities] with this group of assets," he says. "I am committed to working with these guys."
Goodman noted that the GoodRadio name will stay with his station group, in which Eddie Fritts and Carl Hirsch are minority partners. He says the station group he and American Securities built from Clear Channel's divested stations will take on a new name.
