I had a good chuckle today while watching one of those COPS type TV shows.  After a high speed chase in Arkansas, they finally pulled the drunk over, wrestled him to the ground, cuffed and arrested the redneck, all the while with a old KHOZ window decal in prominent view.  That made recall the saturation of the ole KTTS radio ranch window stickers and the time I saw one of those years ago on TV news in Kansas City on a car involved in some sort of crime.   I hear any publicity is good publicity?

Not to mention the anti-smoking tool the first KTTS decals became.  Batch #1 turned yellow if you smoked in your car, thus labeling you as a pack per trip driver.....

Reminds me of the time that Great Empire had a managers meeting in Colorado Springs and as a "break" in the action, we went on a raft ride down the Arkansas river, which is REALLY swift out there.  We went to the rafting ticket office/ headquarters and low and behold, there was a pickup with a KTTS decal on it.  I of course said, "there's mine, where are yours?" to the other managers.  They were full of excuses of course.

At one time, I remember I could drive across Springfield from my house on the east side to the station on West Grand and could count 20 of our decals on cars, just about every morning.  Also remember the Drive In movie nights where the entire lot of cars had one of our decals that got them in free to the movie.

Now days, I never see any stations decal anywhere...must be out of vogue, or stations don't want to work hard enough to make it happen.

The stickers if found are todays sticker. We want the board and nail sticker that was ever so popular and still fits the landscape. I bet someone could put out one asking where are the "ranchands" and it would be worn with pride.
