Am I alone, or has anyone else on the board noticed the loss of wordsmithing on air, so much so that even the National Weather Service has opted for the phrase "heat index values" rather than "heat indices?"

How about referencing multiple officers?  When was the last time you heard "Attorneys General" or, more recently, "Inspectors General?"

Though I had political differences with former British PM Tony Blair, I listened to every speech possible to admire his wonderful mastery of the language.
