Thursday's predicted warm front rising north across the Ozarks is a set-up when I've often seen lots of lightning.
This is based on years of fixing lightning damaged equipment.

It's not always the case, but the most damaging lightning storms I've dealt with were when a warm front was moving north.
Not necessarily the the most severe storms in terms of wind or rain, but very active electrically.
Of course, as a contract engineer, 'we thrive on disaster', same as farmers!!!!
