| Excellent. I was impressed by all the tornado's till I read the key that red is severe thunderstorms. With the radio coverage we have and only one does it and most never keep you informed. This will help as we are forced to "self service severe weather coverage" So who is covering tonites storms? And who can tell us warnings all the way to West Plains?

The last time I saw language like this in the Hazardous Weather outlook was back in May of 2003.
Long track tornadoes. Whoa.
I just noticed another line forming along what appears to be dryline in west Oklahoma, out around Woodward.
Could be a long night.

| Art you must be quite the weather watcher. Too bad someone does not tap into your talent and location as you are sitting right on the highway 60 Lawrence County tornado express before it hits Greene and Christian counties. At 75 miles per hour as these storms race east you could be vital. Tornado's likely always turns my head in a forecast.

Yep, tornado dropped from cloud north of Verona, stayed on ground moving NE. Several homes destroyed north of Aurora. Apparently no injuries.
Lots of rubberneckers. Deputies were having trouble managing the storm because people are rushing to see the damage.
Tracked it on radar. The funnel seemed to be attached to the far south end of the storm, even though there was a hook further up on the cell. Radar showed the TVS and Meso indicators on the far south end of the storm, and thats where the funnel actually was. WSR-88D got it right.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.
.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
POSSIBILITY EXISTS FOR STRONG AND LONG TRACKED TORNADOES...
DAMAGING WINDS TO 70 MPH...AND LARGE HAIL UP TO THE SIZE OF
GOLFBALLS.
AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:
ANOTHER ROUND OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG AND
WEST OF HIGHWAY 65 THROUGH THIS EVENING...AND ACROSS THE ENTIRE
OUTLOOK AREA FROM LATE EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.
DISCUSSION:
A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH ACROSS THE PLAINS
THIS EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. CONVECTION CONTINUES
ACROSS EASTERN KANSAS AND EASTERN OKLAHOMA. THE PRESENCE OF DEEP
LOW LEVEL MOISTURE AND STRONG WINDS IN THE LOWER LEVELS...WILL
CONTINUE TO ALLOW FOR ROTATING SUPERCELLS ACROSS THE AREA.
STRONG LINE SEGMENTS WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE...WITH DAMAGING
STRAIGHT LINE WINDS POSSIBLE. A STRONG UPPER LEVEL WAVE AND
ASSOCIATED JET STREAM IS PUSHING ACROSS CENTRAL OKLAHOMA AND
WILL PUSH OVER TO THE NORTHEAST OVERNIGHT. AS THIS SYSTEM
APPROACHES THE AREA THIS EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT
HOURS...ANOTHER ROUND OF SEVERE WEATHER WILL EXIST ACROSS THE
AREA. DISCRETE ROTATING SUPERCELLS WILL PRODUCE LARGE HAIL AND
DAMAGING WINDS. SOME OF THESE STORMS WILL ALSO BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING STRONG AND LONG TRACK TORNADOES.
