Latest long range forecast models are placing a significant severe/winter weather event during this period...Models indicate copious amounts of moisture and vertical shear in the Ozarks region thru this period indicating the possibility of severe thunderstorms and possible tornadoes...Surface temperatures should be close to 70 degrees on Monday the 4th...After the front passing here there is a threat of accumulating winter precipitation...Again the normal caveats apply as the purpose of my post is to remind you to review the future official forecasts carefully and plan your responses accordingly...

Looks like the forecasts are coming into better agreement on a Severe threat today thru tonight and into Tuesday....Flooding rains, severe thunderstorms and tornadoes will be possible today thru Tuesday....After the cold front passes us on Tuesday a chance of accumulating winter precipitation is possible...Jim
