Latest long range GFSx models are indicating yet another severe weather
outbreak in the Ozarks/Midwest area in the Valentines Day
timeframe....All should review future forecasts carefully....The
normal disclaimer and caveats apply...These long range models are
subject to change and will hopefully not be as severe as previous
events...:(

It's often interesting to read the changes out of Norman OK from the NWS Storm Prediction Center.

Today's discussion says the GFS and ECMWF make next week a difficult guess at this point.  The GFS forecast "is more progressive and...would suggest...some severe potential across the (SouthEastern) Quarter of the [Continental US]..." next week on Wednesday & Thursday.  The ECMWF is slower...weaker...and further south with its surface system development.  "THUS...WILL NOT ATTEMPT TO HIGHLIGHT ANY SEVERE THREAT AREAS THIS PERIOD."

How nebulous is THAT?

I hope y'all survived this latest round okay...I've not checked in with family and friends in AR yet.  Hope they're all fine, too...but will let you know if otherwise.
