LSU losing to Arkansas today makes the game at Arrowhead even bigger.  Kansas City is a buzz about this game and has been all week.  K.C. seems to be more of a KU town and my brother got his masters at Kansas so we have really been at odds this week and at the family gathering,  I always root for the Tigers when they play the Jayhawks and the hawks when they play anyone but Mizzou.  I think (HOPE) Missouri wins and could they jump into 1st in the national rankings if the win.  GO TIGERS!!!

Sure hoping Mizzou gets the number one spot. They should never have been leap-frogged by West Virginia last week, but that's the anti-Big 12 bias there.

I think there's a lot of people that don't want to take Mizzou seriously. Over and over I hear about how bizarre Mizzou's success is, when anybody who's followed Missouri for the last five years has noticed this has been a long time coming and Missouri has been on the upswing in the past three years especially. It's not a Cinderella story - this is the result of truly building a competitive football program.

How about those Tigers!!!  Now #1in the AP Top 25 for the second time in school history and the first time since 1960.  That 1960 ranking turned into a wierd, wayout, wacky affair when they lost to KU  but later  won on a forfeit because the Jayhawks used an ineligible player but still lost the top spot ranking because of the on the field loss...if I have my facts straight.  Missouri was the one undefeated going into that game.

I'll be surprised if Missouri is ranked number one in the BCS poll.  I look for it to be either West Virginia or Ohio State.  Neither Kansas or Missouri seems to get any respect and I'm convinced the BCS would be disappointed if either team wound up in the championship bowl game.
