KC is a buzz with the return of the Big 12 post season tournament to town. Down town is a mess with streets closed and the congestion now that The Sprint Center is host and it's no longer at Kemper Arena in the old stock yards district (I never understood why Kemper was put in that blighted area but parking and traffic was never a big problem there, like it is downtown). The new entertainment district downtown near Sprint Center is open and it is party central with most radio stations broadcasting live today from some bar near by.
I wonder if there will be any surprises on the hard court?
Is was not in the Big 12, Missouri Valley, The NCAA, NIT , not even Division 1 of The NAIA but how about those Lady Bobcats from The College of the Ozarks. Third year in a row to make the national finals (NAIA womens Div 2). but alas second place three years in a row. Still something to be proud of. I enjoyed watching the game, the girls looked good...led most of the game before losing. The announcers kept messing up the school's name, calling it Ozarks or college of ozarks.
