I see the Pittsburg Arbitron is due 1-22-09.
Here's a link to the last one

Boy, it's a runaway for KKOW-FM. And, if you total all the country stations in the top 10, it's like a 35-share for country.

According to the documents filed with the FCC, AMI will simply turn KBZI's license back to the FCC for cancellation.

Just looked at SE Kansas Arbitron, KKOW FM way ahead . KSYN 92.5 #2. KKOW AM #3
Notice many stations tied at 1.1% and .6%, must have a small sample size

| Country and Classic Country is very popular in SE Kansas and SW Missouri. KKOW-FM is a major player due to it high tower and coverage area compared to the other stations. Sharing common call letters with a sister station is helpful since there is plenty of cross promotion of formats. Most of the stations rated 1.1 or lower are rimshots of the immediate Pittsburg area. KGGF-AM, Coffeyville, has the same power as KKOW-AM, Pittsburg, however, KGGF is directional both day and night while KKOW is directional only at night. Both KGGF patterns are directed away from Pittsburg/Joplin. KGGF has impressive ratings in Wichita and Tulsa. KBZI-FM is the lowest rated of the three American Media Investment stations, however, it still is a respectable 2.8 with its Hot AC format. All three AMI stations were in the top ten on the list. Zimmer had 3. Petersen, Harbit, Iola and Fort Scott each had 1.

Joplin ratings are out. What happened to the FFD stations, none of the 6 were even listed. Are they in some kind of trouble with Arbitron?
Several Springfield and NW AR stations made the Joplin ratings many stations tied at 1.1% and.06% ,must have small sample size.
As usual all Zimmer stations did well, KSYN beat out KIXQ.for top spot.
By the way met another John Roberts last night that works for KOBC90.7, that is his real name not middle name like mine.

| If you noticed at the top of the listings for Joplin is says only stations that subscribe are listed, so the FFD Stations don't subscribe. At least that's what it said on the All access listing.

By the way, there is a rumor going around that KBZI will migrate to 107.1 in the next few days when the license for 100.7 is turned in. While I can't tell where the KBZI calls will end up, there's apparently some truth to the rumor they're going somewhere. FFD has requested them for one of their stations, which AMI is apparently going to LMA very shortly.
