| Although I have not heard them personally and good Radio friend of mine tells me that KZRG is doing a very good job of doing local news and really serving the listeners well. If so, I wish them the very best. Way too many stations have totally forgotten the listener and are focused on how to cut costs only.

You are 100% right and August 3rd Zimmers KZYM 1230 will switch to talk.KZRG can be heard in Springfield daytime on car radio but not too strong 5 kw day /1 kw night directional..
Our KIXQ 102.5 also owned by Zimmer is a lot like KTTS except they could do a better job with local news..
I guess you could say Zimmer controls the radio market here with 6 stations, but AMI that owned KKOW AM FM in Pittsburg now owns 8 stations here some lower power but is doing a good job too..
Looks like Zimmer is trying to drive KQYX out of the talk business however.Now taking Mark Leven.Of course KQYX is only 1kw on 1450.

| I pick up ZImmers Joplin streams over here for some of the talk shows. Can't pick up even the Springfield stations with great listenability over here.

The Arbitron Pittsbug/SE Kansas ratings are out, KKOW FM continues to lead over 20% ,KSYN 92.5 2nd, KKOW AM 860 3rd.
