I understand that Zimmer is now transmitting HD-2 and HD-3 signals on KSYN.  Does anybody have a radio that can hear them?

What are they doing?

I'm not sure what's going on there exactly because they were apparently, at the beginning, broadcasting ESPN 1230 KZYM on 92.5 HD 3, but now their running promos like crazy on KZRG that the station can be heard on 92.5 HD 3 and they've taken out KSYN 92.5 HD 3 out of the legal ID os KZYM.  But their also  broadcasing in HD on 102.5 as well.

KIXQ is running

102.5 HD1 => KIX 102.5

HD2 => Classics From KIX

HD3 => 1230

KSYN has:

Kissin -> HD1

Commercial Free Kissin -> HD2

HD3 -> KZRG  (Not there all the time from what I can tell)

All do provide song and artist data for what its worth

(Yes I have an HD radio and I approve of their choices)

Signal wise, you don't have to go too far out of Springfield to get them.  I was getting them around Halltown (mile marker 54).

And for those of you wondering, the Best Buy Insignia car radios work very nicely for HD reception and are very user friendly.

I forgot to mention Pittsburg St.'s NPR station has HD running as well.  I couldn't quite figure out what was on their HD2.

Editorial: Meyer's HD2 is okay, I just wish they'd dump the commercials...\

For those of you wondering, I installed it with the minimal of effort (Had to get a retrofit kit and a harness from Wal-Mart), and it wired right up.  They have a Duel one on clearance currently for $50 (yes it does HD!!!!!!), but I thought the Insignia was more user friendly.

If I can install it in a 1992, it can be installed in most anything.

HD is still so new...only a few radios in the market place.  And what's up with the car companies...put HD standard in all new cars!
