SEK broadcasting is being sold.
LMA taking over immedidately.
GM Lance Saylor out, new GM taking over on LMA.
Apparently, the company that's taking over is Tallgrass Broadcasting, the company owned by Bill Kurtis (formerly with CBS News & documentary filmmaker for A&E). Kurtis owns a number of stations in OK, TX, NM & KS.

More details....
I have a couple of friends that work for Tallgrass over in Independence, Kansas and Bartlesville, OK. They speak very highly of Bill Kurtis and his partner, Joe Walker.
Walker will apparently function as the GM (at least for the time being). Other members of the Tallgrass team are Mark Wilson (I knew him from the old Computer Concepts) and Bill Levingston, who is their IT manager. I've known Bill for over 15-years.
Kurtis & Walker both have extensive broadcast background. Walker apparently has substanial experience with ratings, given his website, http://www.aqhshare.com
Kurtis is well-known in the broadcast field, given his years with CBS and his extensive documentary work for A&E network and others. He also is involved with naturally-grown beef cattle. See the website http://www.tallgrassbeef.com
I met Bill Kurtis a couple of years ago in Bartlesville. Very pleasant fellow, and boy does he have great pipes!

From my friends on the inside, I hear that they have some programming changes in the works, but don't know the details. I'm sure they'll reposition the stations.
I hear they going to switch from from Audio Vault to SS32, and that they're considering going HD.
I have a friend in Oklahoma who's working for them for several years, and speaks very highly of the company.

| It appears that 101.7 and 103.5 have flip-flopped.

| I worked at KSNP in Burlington, Kansas... thats the one I am curious about. Of course out of all the now former SEK stations that is probably the one they are least concerned about.

| 97.7 The Dawg is no more. Re-imaging/format adjustments underway. Also KHST is now simulcasting on KKOY-AM in Chanute.

That is a surprise the flip flop of 103.5 country and 101.7 classic rock.
The country 103.5 has better ratings in Joplin , maybe a stronger signal so maybe they want a better signal in Joplin with their classic rock to compete with Zimmers "big dog 97.9." . 97.9 licensed to Webb City has moved transmitter to site of KJMK 93.9 north of Joplin..
