Changes At KHST?

Changes?

What's up with TALLGRASS BROADCASTING Country KHST (TALLGRASS COUNTRY)/LAMAR-JOPLIN, MO? ALL ACCESS hears that changes may be coming as soon as this weekend, but that morning hosts RICK TAYLOR and CHELSEY are continuing.

What will KHST be airing come MONDAY? Let the talking commence....

So I've heard.

From what I hear, they're going to try some kind of oldies format.

Didn't they punt an oldies format from 103.5 just a year or so ago?

KHST 101.7 is playing mostly late 60s oldies today, don't know if that is the new format , 103.5 KWXD went on the air with oldies years ago, think they changed to country about the time KCAR wnt to oldies., for some reason tall grass flipped 101.7 and 103.5. Notice 101.7 is carring Mo Southern Basketball  also moved from 103.5.     Monday morning we will know.

Also KCAR 104.3 has changed oldies format some, playing 60s 70s and 80s, even a lot of early 60s which they haven't done for some time..

Seems to be playing less harder rock than before. I  may start listening to them more now, 60s and early 70s oldies always sounded better to me than most of what they were playing..Their last ratings were poor so guess thats the reason for the change. You can call many oldie stations now days  classic hits ,not real oldies.
