You know the drill. Don't post copyrighted material. But here's a link to the latest Joplin Aribitron ratings.

Any Thoughts?

My first thought is: "105.3 is active rock not alternative" followed by "what happened to Q 107?" Why are they down that low? Good job on Hendren's KBVA, great format and independently run - serving both Northwest Arkansas and showing in Joplin.

Joplin is like Sprinfield and Tulsa usually many country stations on the top.
KSYN does well because of a much better signal (100kw) than KMOQ 107.1
By the way Piitburg SE Kansas Arbitron is already out you can view it now.No surprise number 1 and 2 stations but KSYN does well also.

Joplin Arbitron
Country is still tops in Joplin KIXQ 102.5 like KTTS dominates.
Big surprise the Mike (Jack( doing well KMXL showed big gains.
News/talk KZRG now has taken Fox News away from KQYX ratings continue to improve and KQYX drops. They had already taken Limbaugh and Beck.Of course KZRG has a better signal with 5 KW.
Urban format of WMBH 1560 shows nothing. That is 3rd format they have tried Music of your life, Fox sports and now Urban. Station owned by Hardman BC was bought from former Petracom for $1.00
Zimmers contemp hits KSYN 92.5 still does well beating lower power KMOQ badly.
KMOQ wants to move transmitter site and city of license to Columbus KS, from city of license Baxter Springs, probably better signal in Pittsburg but weaker in Joplin.
Country KWXD 103.5 owned by SE Kansas BC company doing well actually beats higher power KKOW 96.9 in Joplin. Both have studio in Pittsburg.
Classic copuntry KKOW AM 860 also inprover ratings in Joplin somewhat, maybe carrying KC Royal baseball has helped them.
Cool 104.3 KCAR oldies took a drop, I am not sure but seems to be playing more 60s in playlist today.
Light AC KJMK 93.9 doing well, I think Saturday 70s has helped them, my daughters favorite station..
All in all seems a good book for Zimmer and smaller company Peterson of Carthage that owns KMXL 95.1 and KDMO 1490. not as good for Community radio former petracom, bad news for Hardman BC company WMBH 1560
Notice a few Springfield stations in Joplin ratings KTTS, and KOSP, also a few NE Arkansas like Zimmers 93.3 Classic rock.

| Speaking of the 93.3 signal in NW Arkansas, was that not at one time an elevator music outlet? I wanna say it was that frequency but I'm not sure. Anyone?

93.3 city of license is Seligman MO but studio in Fayetteville.
They were adult standards along with 1190 AM and Clear channel bought 93.3 switched to classic rock..Probably a local quality signal in Newton county south of Joplin.
