Is anyone going to NAB this year?  If not, what info are you most needing about the future of broadcasting?

The future of broadcasting, eh?

Will we EVER agree on a delivery system that helps out AM?  It's so obvious that HD Radio is a giant leap for AM radio...IF...you can afford a new transmitter...if you can afford to be a great sounding signal only during the daytime.  I suppose if you're a daytimer with little else to gain, you go ahead and purchase an expensive transmitter and put the station into the 21st Century.  But if you're station is on 24/7, how in the world do you justify a half-assed way of becoming "digital"?

That is my curiousity - will we be asking this same question 20 years from now, the same way we did wondering if C-Quam or Kahn would become the "standard stereo broadcast system for AM radio"?
