Does anyone know what ever happened to KPIA-AM, Ironton, Missouri?  I can't seem to find any trace of it in the FCC files.  It was licensed to Mid-American Communications, Inc.  ID#41853.

Try that... It at least gives the date that it officially went dark with the FCC

Yes, I checked that source, but didn't find an exact "dark" date.  I thought maybe someone who worked there or is familiar with that area of Missouri might know the answer.  I understood the ground conductivity in that area was extremely poor.  Makes you wonder why anyone would put an AM station there.  It apparently didn't last very long.
