We finally made it on the air! We're on 88.1. In very scientific driving-around tests we can be heard on a cheap car radio from Rolla to Thayer and from Seymour to almost Van Buren. Some of that will be reduced when some other adjacent stations go on the air and/or increase power, but I'm still happy.
We're still working on our programming line-up but have had positive feedback from Ft. Leonard Wood, near Ava, West Plains, Willow Springs, and Licking.
I have to thank the folks that did engineering work for us as our sound is incredible with the equipment we are using. It is so wonderful to come into a station and everything works like it's supposed to. I'll eventually post photos at kz88.org
My only grumble is that the automation software we got for live assist and after-hours use doesn't support mp3s.
There's still a lot to do to be a useful, effective community radio station. That will take some time. It will be a fun process.

And for anyone who is interested, if you work for them; they also pay their bills fast! We installed their antennas for them and they were prompt! I just wanted to say something good instead of the opposite like we humans are prone to do.
I am glad that you are getting out like you want to. Believe it or not, I can hear you (depending on my elevation) all the way down here in Izard County, Arkansas.
