Well, the FCC states ownership, as of 1/22/08 as First Broadcast Partners, LLC of Dallas, TX. This group is part of another group, which in turn is part of another group, involved with thirteen pages of station ownership, a few dozen LLC's, some of which are debtor-in-possession.
The license and allocation had been pulled, but must have been re-assigned when Ripley fell through.
Think I'll keep my distance from this one, and stick with the coffee.

OK. Further investigation. Not easy, but here you go
March 11, 2008, transfer of control, not assignment of license, to Alta Communications IX.
See http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/prod/cdbs/pubacc/Auth_Files/1229217.pdf
KELE is currently "Licensed but Silent." License will go away December 20, 2008 if it does not resume operations.
Check out the application list at http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/pubacc/prod/app_list.pl?Facility_id=12699
Some of the names are vaguely familiar, but I can'd pin them down just yet.
I'm headed for the decaf.

Alta Communications is an investment firm that has a stake in quite-a-few broadcasters around the country. They were a partner of First Broadcasting, and they basically swapped their interest in some of First's stations in exchange for First's interests in some of their other stations. So, the two effectively got divorced.
It looks like there was also an application granted to move KELE to 1200 in Ripley. The application that was cancelled was for it to move to 1180. I'm not sure if the 1200 one is still good or not. The FCC site doesn't show an authorization available, but that may not mean much.
