I'm part of the group that is launching a new community radio station based in Cabool. We were issued a construction permit in late December and hope to be on the air this summer.
Our call letters are KZGM, but on the air we'll identify more with KZ88. Our 60 dBu coverage will provide the first non-commercial, non-religious service to over 25,000 people, some of whom might even listen to us.
Our goal is to feature more locally orgininated programming and music from local artists as well as news, comment, how-to shows, radio-reading, etc. We'll also offer some popular network programming from Pacifica and from some other new community stations from across the country.
