I saw this note in the Springfield News-Leader...
"Big Country 99 CEO Rick Vermillion announced that Nate Cooper will be promoted to promotions director beginning April 15. Cooper will be responsible for creating new promotions along with audience development on KUNQ and KBTC."
What's going on over there? Haven't heard much about Rick's station since he purchased them.

It's Rick and Mark Adams running a hot country with some southern rock thrown in the mix. It's better than any country station in that market for sure.

Better's a matter of opinon. I don't find it better than 92.5 The Grove. At least their morning show knows when to play some music. 99.3 is way cluttered in mornings and the "comedy" isn't. Funny thing is, Adams gave his last PD a ton of crap over having to play southern rock and crossovers. Wonder what changed his mind?

| Not to change the thread of the thread as it were, but I wonder what's up with Big Country's sister station AM 1250 KBTC? I read somewhere that's it's now a full fledged affiliate of the Brownfield Network. And they also installed new music scheduling software. What does be a "full fledge affiliate" of the Brownfield Network mean? And I hear that the music scheduling software is something that KJEL and KJPW wore out years ago so sometimes KBTC is off the air and at times it's on the air.
