Paul Coates is a very sharp guy...he knows what he is doing. A little to "Shepherd/Moberly" for me but it will probably work in smaller markets. Paul can make it work and he's a nice guy too.

Interesting article in today's RBRepaper:

RBRepaper Radio Business Report 1-26-09

Radio Trans. of the Week:
The White Coates are coming! The White Coates are coming!
That's right - Paul and Elizabeth Coates, and Fred and Barbara White, are getting five stations that will daisychain with two they already have in an unrated portions on Missouri, near Arkansas. Their Three Rivers Communications gets an AM and two FMs in West Plains MO and a combo in Willow Springs MO for $2.1M.

Hope they keep it "local"

This sale did not go through.  Tom Marhefka is in charge and plans to stay there.

The West Plains Daily Quill reported that the sale did not go through due to financing problems. I would imagine it's tough to get financing for such a purchase now.
