How about the rest of the story? Are you forgetting the Bush fund raisers who were charged with fraud? How convenient.

OOPS !! A NEW Charlie Rangel Scandal
http://yidwithlid.blogspot.com/2009/08/oops-new-charlie-rangel-scandal.html
Earlier this year, the Sunlight Foundation found similar problems with Rangel’s previous disclosure reports. According to the group’s analysis, Rangel failed to report purchases, sales or his ownership of assets at least 28 times since 1978 on his personal financial disclosure forms. Assets worth between $239,026 and $831,000 appeared and disappeared with no disclosure of when they were acquired, how long they were held or when they were sold, as House rules require.

By Pamela Geller
Barack Obama gave five interviews last Sunday, and only one interviewer bothered to ask him about the ACORN scandal. ACORN is the leftist activist organization that lost its federal funds last week in a Congressional vote that was not even close. Obama's answer to his lone ACORN question was amazing. He brazened it out: "Frankly," said the President, "it's not something I've followed closely. This is not the biggest issue facing the country. It's not something I'm paying a lot of attention to."
Not something he's paying a lot of attention to. This is the same Barack Obama who said, in an address to ACORN in 2007, "I have been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career."
One of Barack Obama's jobs out of college was with ACORN as a community organizer. Obama hired ACORN affiliates for voter registration. Obama was a speaker at ACORN seminars. Obama was their lawyer.
And now he says that the enormous and growing ACORN scandal is not something he is "paying a lot of attention to"? And that the ACORN scandal is "not the biggest issue facing the country"? I beg to differ. I think a national organization that is dedicated to stealth revolution, Communism, ripping off the American taxpayer, and subverting free markets, among other insidious objectives, is of enormous import.
What exactly is Obama paying attention to? Nationalizing a perfectly good private health care system, the best on the world? Outreach to the ummah (the worldwide global Muslim community)?
What is he paying attention to? Mounting a Department of Justice witch hunt, a persecution of CIA agents whose crime was keeping us safe from the worldwide jihad in the immediate aftermath of 9/11? What's he paying attention to? Ethnically cleansing Israel of the Jewish people? Or facilitating a nuclear Iran? Sanctioning Islamic law there and snuffing out the people marching for freedom in Iran? Lest we forget his priority of crushing democracy in Honduras.
Barack Obama is ACORN. Mirror man is not interested in ACORN? John Fund says that Obama "carefully declined to say whether he would approve a federal cutoff of funds to the group," and that the President "took great pains to act as if he barely knew about Acorn. In fact, his association goes back almost 20 years. In 1991, he took time off from his law firm to run a voter-registration drive for Project Vote, an Acorn partner that was soon fully absorbed under the Acorn umbrella." His success in that drive led to the election of Democrat Senator Carol Moseley Braun, and made Obama "a hot commodity on the community organizing circuit. He became a top trainer at Acorn's Chicago conferences. In 1995, he became Acorn's attorney, participating in a landmark case to force the state of Illinois to implement the federal Motor Voter Law. That law's loose voter registration requirements would later be exploited by Acorn employees in an effort to flood voter rolls with fake names."
Newsmax reported in March that "more than half the voter registrations turned in by ACORN canvassers during the last election were not valid, according to testimony to be presented before a House Judiciary subcommittee."
This is madness. What this constitutes is a coup on the American electoral system, a usurpation of the will of the people: government by the people and for the people made into a sham. It's a government by the moochers and the looters, for the moochers and the looters, stolen from the good, hardworking Americans. And worse, the American people have sat by and let it happen. Obama's presidency is not an accident of history. It was a very deliberate assault by the hard left on the foundation of the greatest country in human history.
If we purged the illegals, the dead and the fraudulent from the voting rolls, this would be a different country, with honest leadership that reflected the real landscape of this great nation.
ACORN is a racketeering criminal organization whose specialty is sedition -- overthrowing the good governance of this great nation. Why hasn't it been stripped and rendered illegal like the Cosa Nostra? What's the difference, except that the mafia was patriotic?

Hey!
Let's investigate 9/11! Oh, wait, Bush said we could't do that. It would just be the basis for conspiracy theories. All of the physical evidence was shipped away under security so no evidence or possible future research could be done. How convenient.
Let's investigate torture! Oh, wait. Practically drowning someone isn't torture, it's enhanced questioning.
Let's investigate a gay callguy making regular visits to the White House and getting media credentials! Oh, wait. The Bush administration never knew anything about that...security has so little time to do a quick search on Google for backgrounds you know. Although his hourly rate clearly posted on his website didn't seem out of line so taxpayers got their money's worth in essence.
Let's investigate the Republican congressional aides who flocked to Florida pretending to be outraged Floridians in the 2000 election. Oh, wait. That would be bad for the integrity of our election system.
Let's investigate the firings of U.S. attorneys who may not have agreed with the administration at the time! Oh, wait. It's okay to weaken a branch of government and the system of checks and balances.
Let's investigate the motives for invading a country! Oh, wait. That was someone else's fault.
Let's investigate anything no matter how minor that can take attention away from the real issues of government and continue to polarize the public. Oh, wait. That's what you're doing now. How convenient.

Exposing the Axis of Crime: ACORN and SEIU and their illegal political actionRick Moran
We've known for years the close connection between ACORN and the Service Employees International Union. But any thorough investigation of ACORN must look at how one of ACORN's founders - Wade Rathke, and his creation of two of SEIU's most powerful chapters - constitutes a criminal conspiracy to violate campaign finance and election laws to elect liberal Democrats to Congress.
Rathke has been very careful. He has created literally dozens of shell organizations, not for profit groups, consulting entities, and other for-profit companies to funnel money meant for charitable or community organizing efforts into illegal political activity. The scheme is so complex, that forensic accountants will have trouble unraveling the whole, stinking mess. In the end, unless there is an administration and Congress determined to get to the bottom of things, it is doubtful the whole truth will ever be known.
But we do have a few dots to connect. And one of those is Rathke's huge influence in SEIU that he has used to funnel millions into ACORN's coffers.
Kathleen Parker writing in the Washington Post:
While various government agencies funded ACORN to help poor people become voters and homeowners, ACORN under Rathke created SEIU Local 100 (Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi and Texas) and SEIU Local 880 (Illinois, Indiana and Kansas). In turn, the SEIU wrote checks to ACORN for political activities and union organizing, according to ACORN whistle-blower affidavits. In 2008, the SEIU and Change to Win, a coalition of labor unions, gave ACORN $1,729,462, according to union financial reports filed with the Labor Department.
To break it down, ACORN and the SEIU are hand and glove. Rathke himself referred to the SEIU as "one of the pillars of the ACORN family of organizations" in a June 9, 2007, blog posting. This coziness has been long known among conservative watchdog groups, but Washington has paid little attention until now.
[...]
Such concerns -- and charges of voter registration fraud against ACORN -- ultimately may pale in comparison with the organizers' betrayal of public trust through the apparent commingling of taxpayer money and union funding, not to mention possible coercion and intimidation.
Just last week, the Kansas City Star reported that two state agencies acting on an SEIU public records request sought to identify in-home health workers who care for the elderly and disabled. After complaints, the state acknowledged that it was under no legal obligation to provide the information and ceased helping the SEIU. Unionizing is not a state function, needless to say. And never mind the invasion of privacy.
At the height of last year's presidential campaign, it was revealed that the Obama administration paid $800,00 to an ACORN shell company for such services as setting up stages and sound systems at Obama events. It is unknown how much cash the Obama campaign funneled into ACORN - which was then used for get out of the vote and voter registration efforts. Clearly, the Obama campaign viewed ACORN as an unofficial part of the organization. And SEIU was right there with them.
It appears that both the administration and congress will make only half hearted efforts to get to the bottom of this cesspool. The only way that will change is if Republicans can win enough seats in 2010 to force a change.
Even then, it may prove to be a chimera to believe that ACORN's power can be broken.

N.Y. Voter Fraud Case Heats Up!
Thirty-eight forged or fraudulent ballots have been thrown out, according to records at the Rensselaer County Board of Elections in Troy, N.Y. Enough votes, an election official admits, to likely have tipped the November election to the Democrats.
