You have to be worried about "Democracy" when talk show hosts, such as Limbaugh, tell Republicans who to vote for a week in advance of Super Tuesday.
Hyping McCain is nothing more than talking points from somebody like Karl Rove.
W and Cheney have done more than to divide this country, and the Republican Party (including me) than any Democrat.
Obama, in my opinion, is about the only one who seems to have a grasp on bringing the country back as #1.

If talk radio is propaganda in favor of a particular candidate, it's no worse than what the candidates are doing themselves - with the help of the mainstream media too. People are voting almost exclusively on the basis of propaganda (talk radio, mainstream news, and campaign ads/stops) so it's no wonder 2008 is going to be the year of "hold your nose and vote."
I can't wait for November. I want the opportunity to teach BOTH major parties a lesson, and I think this is the year we can do it. Ralph Nader is already in. Bloomberg may soon be in. Ron Paul may go in as a Libertarian. When you have that many candidates of viability, the odds are stacked against the establishment. I love it!

The Right Wingers just don't get it. They don't understand that most Americans have had it with their kind...trigger happy...bomb 'em now, ask questions later type. And besides, I thought "conservative" meant...being "tight" with our money. What's with the 400 Billion $ debt we have after Bush's reign? I think when they fell out of the tree, they hit their head real hard! That's what happened with the elections last night.

If you have to listen to a radio talk show host tell you how to vote, you must be a red neck!
For the first time in my life, I asked for a Democrat ballot Tuesday and proudly checked Obama. Why? The Republicans had eight years and have blown it. Billions spent on a war that the administration lied itself into, enormous national debt, an economy that is choking (with more jobs leaving the country or being cut daily), and Osama still loose. Funny, we could find Saddam hiding in a hole (in a needless war) and we can't find Osama any where after almost seven years.
Obama offers the best solutions.
The neocons wants people like Mitt and Mike and push their religious values. I don't call lying, policies that make people lose their jobs, etc. strong religious values. George W. Bush professes to be a Christian (and I believe him) but his actions prove otherwise.

I can't stand authoritarians of any stripe. Just as I dislike the anti-choice, anti-gay right, I hate the left's assertion that income is given not earned, that they should control my health care decisions, and etc. To both parties - who the hell died and made you boss?
For the first time I pulled a Republican ballot, and proudly voted for Ron Paul. He's got the best solution, the most respect for the constitution, the rights of the states and the individual - and I voted for him because, by all accounts, he's a Libertarian. It doesn't matter though - the GOP is on the cusp of selecting John McCain as their nominee.
Already my GOP friends are warning me, saying "It's going to be Clinton or Obama if you don't vote Republican." So? I'm not going to vote for a bad candidate I don't believe in just to thwart the other party, especially when your candidate is not a fiscal conservative and is a social authoritarian.
If this country gets Hillary or Obama it's the Republicans' fault for not putting up a decent candidate. Don't blame me - I just vote my conscience. Perhaps the party should put up a worthwhile nominee.

Right now, I may be sitting this one out. Ron Paul was interesting, until he, too, voted for tons of earmarks for his home district.
We have GOT to get Washington out of our pockets, and out of our way.
Huckabee has problems, but his line in the spots was SOOOOO correct. The worst enemy of small business in the United States is our own government.

Looks like the right-winger radio talk show hosts failed in getting their man put up front in the GOP race. As a long time Republican, it appears any more pressure may cause the party to implode. People are wising up to theRepublican Rhetoric. They can't say, "Are you better off today than you were eight years ago?" The majority of people would have to answer no.
While we are talking about talk show hosts, I could see one local one inciting enough hatred in someone to carry out something like what happened in Kirkwood. I believe he caters to the lunatic fringe. Gee, wonder who I'm talking about?

I had the same thought. I still remember the "Normal Heart" days when a students home was burned to the ground. I knew students who had their cars vandalized because they had SMSU stickers on their cars. You could even say you were an SMS student because you would be ripped a new one by those who were against the play.
I don't think people want to admit that we have some crazy people in this area. They get too upset about someone NOT having the same opinion as them. I had to stop allowing open comments on my blog to stop a person leaving death threats. All because I talked about changes the FCC need to implement to improve the industry. I changed the setting so you would have to have a Blogger account to post a comment, but the person has managed to get around this by creating phony profiles. Of course, I screen out post that have nothing to do with the topic and spam. There is a local would-be office-holder, who likes to post long press releases on the comment sections of peoples blog's. Also I don't allow cut and paste crap from American Spectator or transcripts of Rush's show.
