MICHELLE TO STAY AT HOME
Wed Jul 16 2008 19:02:05 ET
Michelle Obama is not going on Obama's trips to Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, and Europe, it will be reported on Thursday.
She does not plan to deliver policy speeches during the presidential campaign.
Nor would she have a policy role in the Obama administration; she would be raising their daughters.
And she may or may not have a speaking role at the Democratic National Convention, the NEW YORK TIMES will reveal on Thursday, newsroom sources tell DRUDGE.
NEW YORK TIMES reporter Patrick 'The Biographer' Healy will be first out with the full details.

While I have been on the Republican side most of my life, I have voted for a Democrats or two in the General election here and there.
What I don't like the the shameful record of the past eight years. The G-O-P has trampled the Constitution to where it looks like the rolls of sheet music in a player piano, failed on a promise to bring more affordable health care; create new, well paying jobs (not those minimum wage positions created by small businesses or corporate retail giants, worn down our military and its equipment, and made us an unrespected joke across the globe. By the way, we are hated in many others countries and not cherished as we once were, we've great paying jobs head over seas, and we let anyone who can swim, move like a Roadrunner or have no fear of rattle snakes at night cross our borders without proper registation, and an emphasis on protecting an embryo at all cost while at ths same time refusing to save lives by shoring our borders, leading us into useless wars, and not protecting yhr safety of our food supply. It's time for a change and I hope we get it.
Hows that hope and change doing for you?

| Dear Obama haters...give it a beak...the man won the election and you types have have been on full assault since day one, sad. He is president of the United States and you folks have taken freedom of speech to treasonous levels. You folks are behaving badly.

| As for hope and change...much better than during the Bush, in the ditch administration, something must be done in an effort to right all the wrongs that were done to put the country in dire straights.

Mr Turner. While I think this thread is going down a path we don't want on the forum, you do need a couple fo thoughts to your particular comments.
#1 Freedom of speech and press are there so we CAN criticize the government. Check the Federalist papers. This is patriatism, not treason. Attempts to limit this speech are the treason.
#2 If indeed when a person wins the presidency the remainder of the country should roll over and play dead, those holding to this should do the same when a Republican is president.
Dat's all

I hate this political trash talk but a certain faction seem to be bent soley on attacking the current administration because that is their chosen objective. The president has been office for only months and has been under constant bombardment.
1.Freedom of the press, yes... but I'm talking mainly about the constant onslaught by talk radio political pundits, who strictly toe the party line and continue to treat the running of the government as a sports game and their goal seems to only be "bring down Obama" and "take the country back", all they want is GOP control.
2.Don't roll over and play dead but but in the last two democratic administrations, republican operatives have been ruthless in attempting to bring down Clinton/Obama. Talk radio continues to rail with misinformation, lies, and somewhat slanderous comments under the ruse of entertainment and free speech.

| See? Isn't that better than "treasonous?" Not quite as strident, but much more effective.

| Turner...I agree with you. I have never liked anyone who is like Rush Limbaugh, totally one sided and won't even listen to the "other side" on anything. That goes for people in general, not just talk show hosts. Everyone should be civil enough to at least listen to other ideas. You don't have to agree, but at least listen I suppose that's why I have always been a "Republicrat". I don't totally agree with either side enough to be called one.
