From R and R:   "Milwaukee-based multimedia giant Journal Communications on Tuesday (April 22) reported a stunning reversal of fortune as first quarter profits plunged 91% to a net income of $6.7 million, or 11 cents per share, from $73.3 million or $1.05 per share during the same period in 2007. "

Doug Kiel, Journal Executive, says it's hard to forecast the future.  What happened the to sales effort of dump the TSA for Metro and with high ratings, revenue will come?  Oops, I forgot.  Radio has changed.

That's a huge drop Morris. I know of at least 1 Journal PD who could work more on living up to the job title than on his own hours. Whad'ya think? This PD and his station needs more than just angry white men ages 18 -34 and 25-54.

Agreed.  His two stations combined aren't carrying their financial load.  K-T and Power are the only $$$$ generators.

In the new era, and with Journal practices they put into place there, I don't ever see the entire group hitting on all cylinders.

I also believe Journal was a little late in jumping onto the web platforms.  That hurts, too!
