I don't understand what your point is on this.

They sent him back.  He was illegal.  Isn't that what the far right has been crying about recently?

Or, maybe Clinton was hoping the next President would be a real bird brain (like Bush) and want to bomb the shit out of all the commies just off the coast of Florida.

My guess is there are a lot of commies in Miami.  They got away from Castro but still have strong ties to his beliefs.  They are in America now and are no doubt joining forces with Taliban and Al Qaedi operatives to take over our nation.

Oh may Gawd, Bush and Cheney will probably want to drop a big one on Miami once Jeb is moved to safety in Saudi Arabia.

I better go take my medicine.  The voices are speaking again to me.

I don't understand the point either Morris.

I was in the Communist Youth Union as a child. I even made it to Vulture Scout (their equivalent of Eagle Scout).:P

From my understanding of Cuba, joining the Communist Youth Party is sorta required or at least highy encouraged like registering for selective service here. Kind of like if you don't join, Castro sees you as suspect. I worked with a Cuban and he tells me Castro isnt too crazy about folks who don't  play along with his programs.  I do agree with Laura Ingraham on this issue that we make heroes out these crazy dictators.     (  Shut and and Sing, I read it recently)

I believe young Elian was technically illegal because his father had custody of the kid.

I'd worry much more about the Bush legacy than the Clinton legacy.  The country prospered under slick willie and has been on the down hill slide under W.   I believe in " truth, justice and the American way"  and I have seen little of that under the current administration.  KOOK!

The Gonzalez kid was technically illegal. It was through the influence of the Cuban voting block in Florida that the Repubs got so invloved and riled up. Gee, I wonder how they feel about all those illegal Gonzalez kids from Mexico? Oh yea, I remember.
Let me remind you of more hypocracy. Are you reading this Mr. Muck? Newt Gingrich and company spent 40 million dollars of our money looking for a "crime" in the Whitewater episode. They found nothing. After Bill Clinton stupidly got involved with Monica and more stupidly committed a crime and lied about it under oath, the opposition had their opening to further the attack. The problem for them though, was that they were like Bill and other Democrats and Republicans in that they were simply flawed humans who lived in a glass House of Representitives.
Newt was having an affair with an aide with whom it was discovered had sex with Mr. Speaker on his desk among other places. I believe he later divorced his sick wife and married the aide, perhaps giving Roy Blunt inspiritation for his future actions. And if readers will recall, it was revealed that Republican Representitive Henry Hyde who led impeachment proceedings against Bill, had an affair or affairs when he was in his 30's and or 40's. Hyde brushed it all aside in calling his actions "Youthful indiscretion" even as he continued his campaign of impeachment.
I laughed a couple of years ago when I saw the bumper sticker that read "Will sombody give this guy a blow job so we can impeach him?", but the truth is both the D's and R's need to quit screwing the aides and each other, work together as Americans and help this country get out of the s*#t we're in.

Your assumption about me is woefully ignorant. I've voted for many more Republicans than Democrats, including 4 different "R's" for President. Did not though vote for the current one. I believe in Sepration of Power in our Government. I own guns, I own land, I don't like illegal immigration and have "killed Commies for Christ" while working with (not for) a U.S. intelligence agency. If having open eyes and mind makes me a lib, then I guess you got me there.
