| Thanks the cut N paste after my input on top had a little trouble splitting that up. However Doug was kicking my butt on debate and that gave a little break. about like the 4 Million to 3 Million just making sure you scratch your head and go WTH. Demographics can be researched in the Chamber of Commerce and it will stun you how many more people's are here now compared to 1980. Im not sure about the Mexico border but I wish we would close the Missouri Border.

Any one have an opinion on the "New News-Leader" now that its been awhile since they changed it? I hear this did not help circulation at all LOL are we surprised? Bring in Mike O,Brian alone would increase interest and give us something to look forward to. I think Tony is OK but Brian Lewis needs to drop the chip on his shoulder about race. It only hurts the community to be told every day how we need diversity. I do not think its helping at all. "check the crime statistics " Brian has made a division and is causing tension with his rhetoric. I think he could be good if he would move to other enlightening positive stories. I do like the local political Cartoons we see every so often. I find that the K.C star has more regional local news then the N/L
Look at the pre- Gannet papers for some good ideas on how to put a good paper out.

Since the change I haven't picked up one copy of it to read and I don't visit their website anymore. I don't see anything of interest. I've even lost the enthusiasm to pick up the funnies and I used to not be able to live without Pearls Before Swine.

"Hokey" appeals to upper demos. And, NOBODY is serving upper demos in the Ozarks.
If there were suddenly a good 'hokey' station on the dial, 45+'s would flock to it.

Umm, what is KTXR? Or KBFL? Not hokey, but definitely upper-demo. The Ozarks has really good upper-demo service compared to plenty of other places. Here in Atlanta there's no Gold AC, no Adult Standards, no Oldies - NOBODY is going 45+. The smooth jazz station does remarkably well, but does so by skewing younger. The level of service to the upper-end in the Ozarks is far better than it is here.
Great Empire had a solid run, but heritage - not hokey - was the selling point toward the end. KTTS was, without question, a ratings and revenue success. Toward the end, you couldn't say that about every station in the company.

| XGM is not moved by the new KTTS or News-Leader. I agree with him. Opposing views will be considered.

| Sara Overstreet has a Interesting story about radio. The blogs are busy ( News-Leader) blog under the story. I think there would be more interest in her story today,But then again looking at this board no one cares much anymore about News or Radio.

Right on Art, as a PART of the hokey radio station world with you at Kyoo in the 80's and working as a bona-fide RANCHHAND for over 11 year...I kinda miss HOKEY, sure beats what they are doing today...no decent radio left IMHO!
Cheers
