St. Louis Gossip columnist Jerry Berger (bergersbeat.com) is reporting that Ted Koplar's KRBK-49 will sign on the air next month as an affiliate of the My Network; which basically means an independent station for the Lake area. The CP has been modified to build the station about 50 Miles North of Springfield in Polk County; thereby cutting off Jeff City and making it a Springfield station.

Looking at the FCC data, the tower seems to be just north of Halfway in Polk County.
The 41dbu coutour appears to fully cover Springfield. Does make them a 'must carry' on Mediacom cable?
What about Dish network and DirectTV?
Not many people watch off antenna anymore.
Where the studio going to be?

When Ted Koplar owned Channel 11 in St. Louis, it was one of the best independent stations in the country. I would expect good things from Channel 49. I'm pretty sure that they will have "Must Carry" status on Springfield Cable.

Channel 11 was a great station back in the days. I wonder if the 3 Stooges will make it to ch. 49?

It does. Note KWBM forced must carry in Springfield. Also, Koplar plans to put something on there (Unlike a certain NBC affiliate) people actually want to watch. And as far as the FCC rules go, if you can get a signal to the headend of the cable co, its must carry.
DISH and Direct will have to carry KRBK if it can get a signal to KY3 (the local receive point for Directv and DISH in Springfield)
