I haven't seen much difference since KY3 took over on that LMA. In fact, I think there's been more turnover on KY3 than KSPR.
I noticed that Chad Plein has joined the news staff at KY3. I've seen him on Joplin TV.

| Yeah, I expected a lot more out of the new ownership. Maybe they still have something planned.

To the best of my knowledge, Jasmine Huda has left KSPR. They've been advertising for her replacement.

Lisa Rau left a few years ago for Silver Dollar City.
Brian Shipman left for Drury.
But I've never seen anyone leave KY for KOLR.

And no one has left KOLR for KY either ... because both shops have non-competes. I think the staffs are very loyal to their newsrooms also, which accounts for the lack of ship-jumping back and forth. However..... there have been nibbles over the years.
Hey Art...thanks very much for setting this up for us! Very kind of you to take it on.
Happy posting!

Ozzymandias speaks: I believe Tom Dye was at KOLR before he was at KY 3. Ozzymandias has spoken!!!

You're absolutely right - he did! What's that been....two decades ago? No one recently, anyway.

| Best guess: Jelly3 is still reviewing options, and probably still has the ability to take their time on personnel and presentation changes. With both shops airing stuff at essentially the same times [unlike 10/27's setup], they'll likely try to find a different way to present 33's product, because they're not going to mess with the mothership. Big question is whether, or more correctly, how long they'll continue with separate facilities, and how soon they'll bring everyone together on Sunshine to save money.

There are two petition to deny out there with regard to KY/Perkin's deal with KSPR.
This is going to delay the deal a bit in any case. I'm guessing here that one objection was filed by Equity (They file petitions to deny like candy...they filed one for KNWA/KFTA). I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that Nexstar might have filed the other one. I haven't been able to retrieve the petitions online yet, but I'd put my suspicions on those two suspects.
Sunshine is going to need extensive work in order to accomodate KSPR. The lack of room there is just not going to make it happen anytime soon.
And in case you're wondering, Jasmine Huda is at KSDK now. (a quick search of KSDK's website shows her as a reporter there.
As for people who've jumped ship:
Tom Dye => KOLR -> KY
Tom Mast => KOLR -> KSPR -> KY
Jerry Jacob => KSPR -> KY
Ron Hearst => KSPR -> KY
Those are about the only ones I can think of that have jumped ship within the market. (Does anyone see a pattern here?)

Lots of folks worked for me at KTTS, three notables are: Barry Johnson, (former news)...now CEO of the Miami Fl. Chamber of Commerce.... Mike Snyder, former DJ, now TV Anchor at NBC 5 in Dallas TX....Dan Shelley ( former News Dir) now with WCBS TV in NYC. Of course lots of them work in broadcasting here in Spfd.
Karen Libby, Joe Daues, Mike Edwards, Russ Jankowitz, Mark Spinabella, Dan O'Day, Charlie Mason Terri Hall, Gary Banner, Mike and George DeMarco....I could go on and on and I hate to leave out anyone but I feel truly blessed because of the success of these former employees...nothing makes me more proud than to see them continuing their success.
