|Me-TV (Memorable Entertainment Television), the digital classic television network is coming to The Ozarks, launching January 1, 2014 on KRBK Channel 49.2, and will be locally known as Me-TV, Ozarks.
The deal was signed by Ted Koplar, President and Owner of Koplar Communications, making this local Me-TV affiliate a sister-station to Koplar’s already established TV station, FOX KRBK.
“The decision was simple,” says Koplar, “People in this area are nostalgic and look back at TV shows they grew up on with great fondness and they want to share these memories with their family. “When Me-TV Ozarks signs on in January, the programming will include weekday showings of MASH,The Twilight Zone, I Love Lucy, Bonanza, and Primetime showings of Gilligan’s Island, as well as the Dick Van Dyke,Bob Newhart Showand many more".
The station’s General Manager, Paul Windisch adds, “We love the idea of families being able to leave their TV’s on this channel and know that it’s going to be safe for all to watch.
As for the advertising community, it’s another option for businesses to reach a very targeted, loyal viewer.
Viewers will be able to tune in, free of charge, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by simply using a basic
set-top or outdoor TV antenna.
This channel will also be available on several paid outlets, such as
Mediacom, Suddenlink and Charter, with more providers being added soon.
When the station signs on, it is recommended that all local TV viewers use the auto-program function to
rescan their digital TVs and converter boxes to ensure that Me-TV, Ozarks is included in their list of channels they can turn to.
