For the amateurs out there, one can communicate with the International Space Station amateurs when you can see them. They are on 145.800 MHz, call sign RS0ISS-4. When can you see them? Go to http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata/sightings/cities/skywatch.cgi?country=United+States FYI: This Wednesday you should be able to see the Space Shuttle go over, then a minute later the Space Station in basically the same path.
