David has been off all week, although for him it is a strange time of year for him to be on vacation, given that his daughter is still in school. I am guessing that this is the week he's doing the Cumulus forced furlough.
So, what will the Mid-MO Cumulus stations do for news when their one newsperson (David Gaines) takes his furlough week?

He was on in the first 3 days of the week. I do know he is announcing one of the NCAA D-1 track & field regionals this week. Mark did say he was announcing the D-2 nationals last week in Texas.
Someone at the office asked whether Renee Hulshof's is still with the station as Simon is solo this week and he says they haven't mentioned her at all. Last week she said she'd be "off" this week, so I would say this is probably her furlough week.
According to the Trib, AMW is spending Saturday's show investigating a murder case her husband prosecuted, and the possibility the guy is innocent. She probably will wish she had taken NEXT week off!
