Socialized medicine according to your views will mean longer waits for health care, but an uninsured person needing immediate treatment has the stamina and time to apply and go through the process of trying to get services through a charity. Which is measured in months for many. And that generally only includes stabilizing care, not long term. Inability to get health care is a death sentence for at least 45,000 people a year in the U.S. What is the value of one life to you? Does right to life end at birth?

In Missouri the legislature under republican control cut medicare services to thousands of Missourians...yet kept their own state funded health care. When the Post Dispatch and the KC Star pointed out their actions their taxes were raised, specifically for them, in the amount of $50 million per year. So much for the lower taxes are better platform. And so much for freedom of the press.
